Hurricane Ian Update

After damage from Hurricane Ian landfall on Friday September 30, 2022, The Cherry Grove Pier and Driftwood Restaurant will be closed for repairs on 12/12/22 until March 2023.

   The newly remodeled Tackle and Gift Shop has rod rentals and sales along with just the right bait and tackle for that certain fish. We carry a full line of name brand fishing gear, bait and lures, along with a fun selection of souvenirs, T-shirts, sunglasses, beach accessories, ice-cold beer and soft drinks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a saltwater fishing license to fish from the Pier?
No, you don't need to purchase a fishing license. We pay all State and County permits and fees that entitle you to fish from the Pier with your paid admission.

How much does it cost to fish?
With your own rod a one day fishing pass is $3.00 admission and $7.500 per rod.
Rod rentals are $24.00 for all day (with a $30 deposit), and $16.00 for half day after 3pm.
Crab nets are $6.00 each for purchase.
King Mackeral passes are $16.00 per day with personal proper set up.
Walkers Pass is $3.00. All persons on the pier must have an arm band.
Season passes and season King passes are also available. Please call for more information.

What bait do you carry?
We typically carry the following: Mullet (cut and fingers), Shrimp, Squid, Live Bloodworms, Artificial Bloodworms and Chicken Necks (crab bait).

What is your fishing season?
The Fishing Season extends from February 1st. through December 1st.

What hours are you open?
The summer hours are Sunday thru Thursday from 6am to midnight and Friday and Saturday 6am to 2am. Hours are subject to change with the seasons, so please call 843-249-1625 for more information.

Where can I park?
Pier parking is located in the paid parking lot north of the pier or in the public parking area on the 7th and 8th floor of the tower two parking garage across the street.

Do you accept Credit Cards?
We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
